So, if for some strange reason, you ever wonder whether or not American stereotypes exist, remember that once I went to Canada with my family, and the guy at customs was asking the usual questions; you know, do what are you planning on doing in Canada, how long are you staying, that kind of thing. Anyways, the question of firearms came up, and this is basically how it went (remember, he’s Canadian, so he’s got this cool accent):

Customs guy: “Do you have any firearms on your person?”

My dad: “No”

Customs guy: “Do you have any firearms in the vehicle?”

My dad: “No”

Customs guy: “Where do you keep your firearms?”

My dad: “Oh, we don’t have any.”

Customs guy: *mutters* “Thought everyone had firearms down there…”
